Land Records
McGill University's Canadian County Atlas Digital Project is at ◊◊◊digital.library.mcgill.ca/countyatlas. The county maps show the boundaries of every farm with the name of the resident. This is an outstanding genealogy resource, but I am not aware of a similar resource for the U.S.A. Similar historical atlases were printed for counties in the U.S.A.
